August meeting is coming up and the theme for the August 6th meeting is Join us Thursday the 6th at 6:30 p.m. Please remember that you don't have to have a theme image you may also bring your favorite image from the month or your project of the year image. Send your images to me by Wednesday night or you may bring them to the meeting. Please bring only 2 images this month so that we will have time for Tutorials. Remember to size your files to no larger than 1024x768 at 100ppi and they should have your name in the beginning example of your files could be Example (Jim_Swallow_shopping_carts_1_0409.jpg) It helps tremendously by having all your images together at the end of the year by you using the same method each and every month. Thanks See all the new photo contests posted below on left Important Notice Several of our members are allergic to perfumes and colognes and it is important to everyone's comfort that you do not add any additional perfumes before you come to our monthly meetings. We would like to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable and at the last meeting several people had to leave early because they couldn't breathe. So please be considerate of others before you come to the next meeting. Thanks "Turn off Cell Phones Too"

Bay Area Photographic Exhibits
Society Member Exhibit May 18th through August 21st "Flowers, Plants and Trees" The Summit Executive Center is located at 58th and Ulmerton on the Northeast side. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30-5 I have updated the web site exhibits page to include images from the current show check out the link here for the new look( still testing)
Florida Museum of Photographic Art

Developing the Collection: Recent Acquisitions of Photography The Museum celebrates its ever growing photography collection with an exhibition of nearly 50 images. Highlights include: nineteenth-century works from Knud Knudsen, Eadweard Muybridge, and Clarence White; Twentieth-century works from Henri Cartier-Bresson, Lucien Clergue, Lee Miller, and Burk Uzzle; and contemporary works from David Armstrong, Andres Serrano, Carrie Mae Weems, and William Wegman.
